user-centered design ::: foodjoy

FoodJoy is a dynamic recipe-generation system based on one's current food inventory. This system was developed from concept to prototype evaluation as a group project for an Intro to HCI course in Fall 2005.

The FoodJoy system consists of a Food Inventory Card (FIC), the FoodJoy website and a FoodJoy kiosk. The FIC is a Kroger-like member card that records purchases upon checkout, the website allows users to see their inventory, create shopping lists, and search for recipes based on their inventory, and the kiosk is an in-store interactive kiosk that allows inventory and shopping list viewing and printing. Our protoype was evaluated by Heuristic Evaluation, Cognitive Walkthrough, and Semi-Structured Interviews.

In this group project, my main responsbilities included the development and design of the prototype--the website and the Flash FIC and kiosk demonstrations, storyboard design, survey automation, and final presentation development.
